Ghost of Yōtei: Sucker Punch’s Ghost of Tsushima Sequel Dropped, and I Cried Yall

https://blacknerdproblems.com/ghost-of-yotei-trailer/

In 2020, the world stopped. We were deep into the global pandemic, global protest, and a world wide feeling of this timeline being not only the darkest time line but the worst time line. When I think back to that time, the thing that held my loved ones and I together was playing Ghost of Tsushima. To give so much onus to a video game may sound like i’m putting 100 on ten but honestly, for us, Jin Sakai’s journey was a life raft in a perfect storm. In a time when people had to be separated for their own good, Sucker Punch not only gave us an amazing solo adventure but Ghost of Tsushima: Legends, a multiplayer that gave us the chance to be social and build a community to run these raids. To say this game impacted my life would be putting it mildly. Which is why, when EIC Will Evans sent me a message that said, “We Back” with a link to a trailer that read Ghost of Yōtei… I cried.

The Ghost Of Yōtei

Honestly, It was more of an internal emotional cry but never the less. I’m on an emotional roller coaster. My circle knows Jin Sakai put the pandemic on his back and got us through it. For us, it’s five years later. In Ghost of Yōtei, it’s been nearly 300 years. Jin Sakai’s jersey is in the rafters and we’re introduced to our new female protagonist, Atsu. We don’t know nothing bout Atsu but what I can tell from the trailer? Atsu does shots of ex-lax for fun cause she’s with the shits, and that’s all I needed to know.

Ya girl rocking dual wield katanas with a wolf on the hilt? Walking round with an actual wolf along with a shamisen strapped to her back? Plus she wiping the blood of her enemies off on a banner that she keeps tied around her swords like gangstas tying bandanas on the steering columns of impalas? We can stop talking right here, friend. I don’t need to know anymore of the story. I’m in.

From what we can gather though, Atsu is on the hunt up north and don’t care that ops done put a bounty on her head. She spilling blood out they head tops on top mountain tops. We see she’s equipped with new weapons, new fighting stances, new fits, apparently a wolf companion, and a flintlock rifle?! She’s tooooooooogh! Ghost of Tsushima gave me this feeling where I just knew that the game was going to be a stand out. Ghost of Yōtei gives me the feeling that although things have changed… I’m still going back home.

“Sometimes you gotta go away to make a come back
And those that know when they go don’t even come back”- Beanie Sigel

NFL Week 2 Picks and Week 1 Pick Updates.

https://www.thenerdelement.com/2024/09/14/28251/

Good evening everyone! Today I want to discuss which picks I got correct and which ones I got wrong. So, let’s get started, shall we?! I predicted that the Bills would beat the Cards 31-27, but the final score was 34-28 Bills over the Cards. The Cards had some opportunities especially the play that Marvin Harrison Jr was wide open that would have been a touchdown. Kyler Murray missed him and he had only one catch for 4 yards. Everyone says that he needs to be more involved in the offense, and I agree. I predicted that the Cowboys would beat the Browns 27-20, but the final score was 33-17 Cowboys over the Browns. I predicted that the Lions would beat the Rams 31-17, but the final score was 26-20 Lions over the Rams in overtime. The Lions went down the field and scored a game-winning touchdown. I predicted that the 49ers would beat the Jets 23-17, but the final score was 32-19 49ers over the Jets. Aaron Rodgers did not look good and got spoiled.

I predicted that the Bengals would beat the Pats 24-17, but the final score was 16-10 Patriots over the Bengals. I predicted that the Broncos would beat the Seahawks 30-23, but the final score was 26-20 Seahawks over the Broncos.

Overall, I have gotten 4 out of 6 picks correct!! Now, let’s get to the NFL week 2 picks, shall we?! The first game I will predict is the 49ers @Vikings game. I think the Vikings will beat the 49ers 27-24. The next game I will predict is the Seahawks @Pats game. I think the Seahawks will beat the Pats 34-27. The next game I will predict is the Saints @Cowboys game. I think the Cowboys will beat the Saints 38-21. The next game I will predict is the Colts @Packers game. I think the Packers will beat the Colts 34-17. The next game I will predict is the Raiders @Ravens game. I think the Ravens will beat the Raiders 44-23. The next game I will predict is the Rams @Cardinals game, the divisional rivalries. Both of these teams are coming off with their losses last week. The Rams have had the Cards number for years and the Cards have not swept the Rams since 2014. With that being said I think the Rams will beat the Cards 23-20. I do think that Marvin Harrison Jr will get more touches. The next game I will predict is the Bengals @Chiefs game. I think the Chiefs will beat the Bengals 35-23. The next game I will predict is the Steelers @Broncos game. I think the Steelers will beat the Broncos 34-27. The next game I will predict is the Bears @Texans game on Sunday night football. I think the Texans will beat the Bears 28-21. The last game I will predict is the Falcons @Eagles game on Monday night football. I think the Eagles will beat the Falcons 38-17.

So, what do you guys think about the NFL week 2 picks?! I would love to hear your thoughts and comments are down below!

Stay tuned for NFL updates.

The Throughline At MFW Wasn’t Spring-Ready Essentials

Outlandish Headpieces, Balletcore, And All The Non-Spring Pieces At Milan Fashion Week Getty Images By Robyn Mowatt ·Updated September 23, 2024

The throughline at Milan Fashion Week might have been the whimsy clothing that went down the runway at numerous presentations. Despite the many differences between garments, designers didn’t hold back regarding their design prowess. There was a level of experimentation that felt deeply impressive–however, codes that are the usual suspects were equally prevalent. Milan made way for refreshing designs that didn’t feel stuffy, instead, the offerings were unpretentious and a bit voicy. The latter especially speaks to the ability of designers such as Maximillian Davis’ Ferragamo to shine rather than getting swallowed up by the jam-packed MFW calendar.

Ballerina core was revived and given new life at Ferragamo’s Spring/Summer 2025 presentation. Taking inspiration from American dancer and choreographer Katharine Dunham, Davis showcased an elegant wardrobe fitting for off-duty ballerinas. This collection was perhaps my favorite to come out of MFW–as a former dancer who studied ballet for nearly 10 years, it spoke to me. The textured outerwear in addition to the succinct pairing of deep brown with blush pink was aesthetically pleasing, a deep maroon hue and cherry red were even utilized in compelling ways. Some of the fitted pieces in the collection such as bodysuits were interesting–and so were the dresses that floated eloquently on model’s forms which delved into refined territory.

The Attico’s collection seemed to be the polar opposite of Ferragamo’s. The clothing by Giorgia Tordini and Gilda Ambrosio felt like the armor stylish women should look to for a new chapter in their lives. If one is entering a new era following a seismic shift in their life such as a new role, or perhaps a breakup, the collection is worthy enough to look to. Baby pinks, canary yellows, and rich grays were the chosen tones. With this color palette, a sophisticated collection was allowed to take form. Sheer skirts and dresses in addition to caged heels made up a few of the most riveting and sensual pieces from the seasonal arrivals.

Donatella Versace ushered in a spring that will be marked by off-kilter statement pieces. Office-ready pairings were displayed on models: smart jackets, a sky blue low-rise suit, printed cardigans, and sheer red tights. Though this collection didn’t feel quite like spring, it left an impression. Sequins even exist in Donatella’s depiction of next spring and so do lilac platform sandals. A camel brown leather jacket worn with cut-off shorts and a rich blue button-up offers an outfit for someone who marches to the beat of their own drum.

The relaxed and pared-back suiting at Bottega Veneta was meaningful. Much of this collection toyed between office-appropriate garments such as trousers, silken dresses, and strong outerwear–these arrivals were juxtaposed with colorful sweater sets and also frilly textures seen on skirts, coats and beyond. The headpieces worn with some looks appeared to pay homage to creatures one would dream up during their childhood. One asymmetrical wrap skirt worn with pants felt like a declaration of sorts. And so did the oversized nature of nearly each piece that went down the runway, is it cool to wear enlarged trousers and other day-to-day choices? According to Matthieu Blazy, yes.
