The judge in Meek Mill's case has denied the rapper's request for bail. Judge Genece E. Brinkley, who sentenced the rapper earlier this year to time in prison, called Mill a potential "danger to the community" and flight risk before denying the rapper's request to be released on bail. [brightcove id=5026803787001] Brinkley, who sentenced the rapper to two to four years in prison for violating parole, has come under intense scrutiny over allegations that she requested the rapper remix a Boyz II Men song with her name in it and reportedly tried to persuade Mill to leave Roc Nation and sign with local music manager Charlie Mack. Numerous celebrities have spoken out in support of the rapper including JAY-Z, who wrote an op-ed for The New York Times. "What’s happening to Meek Mill is just one example of how our criminal justice system entraps and harasses hundreds of thousands of black people every day," he wrote. Bill Cobb, the deputy director for the ACLU’s Campaign for Smart Justice, told ThinkProgress, "It’s unfortunate that he is suffering the outcome that he currently is. However, it’s quite typical of the way in which our criminal justice system responds to crime, but also the way that system functions on a daily basis." "The way that it is designed, there are these roadblocks and these barriers that are really drivers that increase recidivism, and that don’t positively contribute to public safety."

A  first-look image of series star Brenton Thwaites as Dick Grayson (aka Robin) from the upcoming DC Super Hero series TITANS, from Weed Road Pictures and Berlanti Productions in association with Warner Bros. Television.

• TITANS stars Brenton Thwaites (Pirates of the Caribbean: Dead Men Tell No Tales) as Dick Grayson (aka Robin).

• The Robin super suit was designed by renowned costume designer Laura Jean Shannon, whose credits include Black Lightning, Iron Man and The Jungle Book, among others

• TITANS is set to debut in 2018 on the DC-branded direct-to-consumer digital service, operated by Warner Bros. Digital Networks.

From executive producers Akiva Goldsman, Geoff Johns, Greg Berlanti and Sarah Schechter, TITANS is an all-new live-action drama series that follows a group of young soon-to-be Super Heroes recruited from every corner of the DC Universe. In this action-packed series, Dick Grayson emerges from the shadows to become the leader of a fearless band of new heroes, including Starfire, Raven and many others. • Asked about starring in a Woody Allen movie, Selena Gomez gave a not-great answer: “I didn’t know Woody and I don’t know anything about that family. As the actor in the film, you just have to step away and say, I don’t know anything, really, and whether any of it is true or false. Having thought it all through, you put it to one side and just work with the person.” This is a terrible answer, but I’m still always wondering why the men in Allen’s movies don’t get these questions nearly as often.
