Explore Pixar from A to Z Through This Fan Art

http://nerdist.com/pixar-fan-art-alphabet/

I would purchase a whole book of fan art centered around the alphabet. I don’t tire of seeing different takes of the ABCs featuring various characters and names from pop culture. Given that, I couldn’t resist artist and animator Zach Gomez’s Pixar A to Z series that features, as you might have guessed, Pixar characters to go with each letter in the alphabet. Zach says Pixar’s stories have changed his life and made him love art and animation, so he used this project as an opportunity to highlight some of his favorite characters.

Characters like Wall-E!

WallE_Alpha

You should definitely click on this poster with ze whole alphabet to embiggen it.

View more individual letters by skipping down to the gallery below. You’ll find Zurg from Toy Story, Sully from Monsters Inc., and more. If you want to see each component of the alphabet, hop on over to Zach’s website. Follow him on Instagram to keep up with all his current creations; you’ll see that his fan art includes a little of everything from Disney posters to superheroes.

Do you create any sort of fan art? If so, I want to see it. Whether you focus on a specific fandom or pull inspiration from multiple stories and mediums, I’d like to highlight what you do. If you’re interested in being featured in a future edition of Fan Art Friday, get in touch with me at alratcliffe@yahoo.com with examples of your work. If you’re not an artist, feel free to email me with recommendations for Fan Art Friday!

Do We Really Need a Live-Action JETSONS?

http://nerdist.com/rick-morty-x-men-marvel-jetsons-nerdist-news-talks-back/

Gearing up for the long holiday weekend, we were treated to some darned weird bits of news, both cryptic and baffling, but certainly lots to mull over before we here in the U.S. get ready for barbecues and fireworks. But before we get to that, we’ve got a super snazzy Friday edition of Nerdist News Talks Back for you, with discussion of the Rick and Morty season 3 trailer, a surprising new slate of X-Men movies, and…do we really need a live action Jetsons? (The answer won’t surprise you.)

On today’s show utility infielder Amy Vorpahl is joined by Nerdist News writers Aliza Pearl and Joan Ford to discuss the various and weird things coming, and few things are weirder (in a great way) than the new trailer for Rick and Morty season 3. We did a very extensive breakdown of it on today’s Nerdist News, so I’d point you in that direction. It looks pretty awesome to our panelists, especially fightin’ pickle Rick!

Next up, Twentieth Century Fox announced the release dates for six unnamed, previously unannounced Marvel movies. It’s possible one or more of them are in the Fantastic Four vein, but hahahahahahahaha there’s no way that’s true. It’s very likely it’s six more X-Men movies between 2019 and 2021. Our panelists talk about what movies we hope to see as well as how they’re very clearly trying to catch up to Marvel Studios. No love lost there.

And finally, there’s going to be a new Jetsons show. And it’s going to be live-action. Why? But, like seriously, why is this happening? Is there a void in our TV lineup for a guy yelling for Jane to get him off of a crazy thing? Don’t we already kind of have robot housekeepers? It’s all…it’s all very confusing.

Have yourself a wonderful four-day weekend, folks! NNTB is off until Wednesday, July 5, so don’t miss us too much!

9 Times Donald Trump Said Things To Women He Wouldn’t Have The Guts To Say To A Man

http://madamenoire.com/835147/donald-trump-women/

You probably heard this this week that instead of worrying about some of the more pressing matters going on, including the GOP health care plan or focusing on his Friday meeting with South Korean President Moon Jae-in, Donald Trump was going after one of the hosts of MSNBC's Morning Joe. No, not Joe Scarborough, but Mika Brzezinski (his soon-to-be wife), who'd spoken on the show recently about the president having fake TIME magazines with his face on the cover in his office. She also said this: "Nothing makes a man feel better than making a fake cover of a mag about himself, lying every day and destroying the country." [caption id="attachment_835156" align="aligncenter" width="1068"]Donald Trump women WENN[/caption] Your 45th president somehow found out about her comments and tweeted this:

While quite a few people were upset by his comments, it was honestly business as usual for a man who has the thinnest skin of all the mammals on earth. He has actually gone after Brzezinski in the past (she, herself, has said regrettable things, including blaming rappers for White people's use of the N-word...). But I couldn't help but notice, despite the fact that a lot of people say all sorts of things about the Donald, he finds the most enjoyment out of going after women (not Black women though, I think he knows the dragging that would ensue). And as I explained to my husband last night, while people have a right to defend themselves when a person, man or woman, speaks negatively of them, there's something quite disgusting about hearing or watching a man argue with women. Where is this vitriol with men? He even has a history of going after the wives of men he doesn't like -- not the men. And while his character is as clean as a toilet, he has the nerve to go after the looks of women and what they're capable of in relation to the men in their lives. Bet he wouldn't speak to Putin out of the side of his neck... Check out nine other times he went after women much harder than we suspect he'd ever go after a man. Rosie O'Donnell

This is a feud that has carried on for years. Trump has called O'Donnell everything from "crude, rude, obnoxious and dumb" to "a loser." But one of the most disrespectful digs was at her reveal that she'd struggled with depression:
She announced last week that she suffers from depression. They called me for a comment, and rather than saying 'I have no comment' or 'isn't that too bad oh, that's so bad,' I said, 'I think I can cure her depression,' — most of you heard this. 'If she stopped looking in the mirror, I think she'd stop being so depressed.' And they said, 'It's a horrible statement, it's a horrible statement.' What's so horrible about it? She attacks me. She said I had terrible hair. You know, it's amazing. She calls me comb-over, she calls me — but we're not allowed to attack.

Bette Midler

I'll let this one speak for itself. [caption id="attachment_835159" align="aligncenter" width="1068"]Donald Trump women Dennis Van Tine/Future Image/WENN.com[/caption]

Carly Fiorina

In an Rolling Stone story from 2015, Trump talked openly and very ugly about Carly Fiorina who was also in the Republican race for president:
When the anchor throws to Carly Fiorina for her reaction to Trump's momentum, Trump's expression sours in schoolboy disgust as the camera bores in on Fiorina. "Look at that face!" he cries. "Would anyone vote for that? Can you imagine that, the face of our next president?!" The laughter grows halting and faint behind him. "I mean, she's a woman, and I'm not s'posedta say bad things, but really, folks, come on. Are we serious?"
[caption id="attachment_835160" align="aligncenter" width="1068"] Dennis Van Tine/Future Image/WENN.com[/caption]

Arianna Huffington

Trump took an especially low blow at Huffington Post co-founder Arianna Huffington and her split from ex-husband Michael Huffington, who is bisexual, in 1997. [caption id="attachment_835161" align="aligncenter" width="1068"] Dennis Van Tine/Future Image/WENN.com[/caption]

Megyn Kelly

In an interview with CNN's Don Lemon, Trump came for Megyn Kelly (known for her affinity for a White Jesus and Santa Claus -- I didn't forget) after she confronted him in one of the first Republican nominee debates about being sexist. He wasn't happy about that. Here's what he told Lemon about that debate moment. "I knew it was going to be a big crowd, because I get big crowds, I get ratings," Trump said. "They call me the ratings machine. And she gets out and she starts asking me all sorts of ridiculous questions. You know, you could see there was blood coming out of her eyes, blood coming out of her wherever. In my opinion, she was off base." [caption id="attachment_835162" align="aligncenter" width="1068"] Dennis Van Tine/Future Image/WENN.com[/caption]

Hillary Clinton

Trump has said just about everything you can about Hillary Clinton since running against her for president, but one of his more disrespectful jabs came before they ever faced off with one another on the campaign trail. When speaking in 2015 about the idea of her running for president, he said, "If Hillary Clinton can't satisfy her husband what makes her think she can satisfy America?" [caption id="attachment_835164" align="aligncenter" width="1068"] Adriana M. Barraza/WENN.com[/caption]

Sarah Jessica Parker

Here's another one I'll let speak for itself. [caption id="attachment_835166" align="aligncenter" width="1068"] (Photo by John Lamparski/Getty Images)[/caption]

Heidi Cruz

When things heated up between Senator Ted Cruz and Trump in the race for Republican nominee for president, an anti-Trump Super PAC tried to shame Melania Trump for posing nude in British GQ in 2000. Trump took his anger out on Cruz's wife, Heidi. "Lyin' Ted Cruz just used a picture of Melania from a G.Q. shoot in his ad," he tweeted. "Be careful, Lyin' Ted, or I will spill the beans on your wife!" He would then go on to use a meme comparing the looks of Melania and Heidi with the caption, "a picture is worth a thousand words." [caption id="attachment_835165" align="aligncenter" width="650"] WENN.com[/caption]

Kim Kardashian

While he said he liked Kim Kardashian, deeming her a "nice person," in an interview with HLN, that didn't stop Trump from saying she'd gained too much weight during her first pregnancy while carrying North West. "She's a nice person, I've known her over the years," he said. "She's really a nice person. She's gotten a little bit large. I would say this, I don't think you should dress like you weigh 120 pounds."
