Chance the Rapper is now Chance the Husband.

The Chicago rapper tied the knot with his longtime girlfriend at The Resort at Pelican Hill in Newport Beach, CA on Friday (Mar. 9), Us Weekly confirms.

The now newlyweds began dating back in 2016 but knew each other since their childhood. Last week, the 25-year-old took to Twitter to tell the story of the day he first laid eyes on the now Mrs. Bennett.

He said when he was nine, he went with his parents and brother to an office party for his mother’s job. While minding his business playing a video game, there was an announcement that there was a performance by Destiny’s Child, but it wasn’t Beyonce, Kelly and Michelle. It was three little girls, with one of them being Corley, and he was smitten from that point on.

“I knew I was gonna marry that girl,” he said. He continued saying, “16 years later it’s happening This wknd is the time, and the place is my wedding. I’m gonna dance with my wife because this is my destiny.”

They got engaged on the 4th of July in 2018.

Their ceremony took place Friday, however they had already been married since last year. The Chicago Tribune received a copy of the couple’s marriage certificate from the Cook County Clerk’s office in Chicago that confirmed they married on December 27th, 2018.

Weeks after he was charged with 10 counts of criminal sexual abuse, another VHS tape of R. Kelly engaging in sexual acts with underage girls has surfaced.

Attorney Gloria Allred, who is also representing other R. Kelly accusers, held a press conference today (Mar. 10) with the man who found and submitted the tape, Gary Dennis. According to TMZ, Dennis said he discovered the tape while going through his own collection of VHS tapes. He said he watched it and saw a man that strongly resembles R. Kelly engaging in sexual acts with multiple teenage girls, He claims to have no connection to Kelly and has no clue as to how the tape ended up in his possession. Dennis said it looks like it was filmed in the 90’s.

“I thought it was a recording of an R. Kelly concert. I watched the sports on the tape and then continued to watch what I thought would be an R. Kelly concert,” Dennis said during the press conference. “To my shock and surprise, R. Kelly appeared to be on the tape but not in concert. Instead, he was sexually abusing underage African American girls. He was telling them what to do and what to say, and it appeared that he was in control of the camera. In addition, he was engaging with these children in sexually abusive acts. He appeared to be in command of the girls and they looked as though they were just saying and doing what he told them to do.”

Allred has turned over the tape to the U.S. Attorney’s Office for the Eastern District of New York.

Attorney Michael Avenatti of Chicago already submitted two different tapes of R. Kelly allegedly engaging in sexual acts with underage girls, one of them which led to his recent indictment.

Kelly was arrested and charged on February 22nd and was later bailed out a woman named Valencia Love three days later. He returned to jail days later due to owing over $161,000 in child support. He was released yesterday (Mar. 9) after an anonymous person paid his outstanding balance. The 52-year-old will return to court Wednesday for his child support case while he is due in court on March 22nd for his criminal charges.
