Azuki to Add More Manga by Osamu Tezuka and More in September

https://blacknerdproblems.com/azuki-to-add-more-manga-in-september/

My favorite digital manga subscription service Azuki, home of my faves My Dear Detective: Mitsuko’s Case Files and newer fave Our Aimless Nights, has revealed today that they are adding three new series from ABLAZE Manga, including more classic manga from the God of Manga, Osamu Tezuka, and a new horror series! Check out the whole list below! Each series seems to have at least a TEEN age rating, and each newly added series. All follow a theme of narratively dealing with horror in some way whether be that exposing corporate greed, seeing how people are treated less than, seeing the plight of humans becoming second on the food chain, or seeing people trying to survive a murderous amusement park!

Tomorrow the Birds by Osamu Tezuka

Classic science fiction from Osamu Tezuka, the Godfather of Manga, now in English! Originally published between 1971 and 1975, this tapestry of seven-page short stories and novellas depicts an Earth where birds become the dominant class.

A fatal fire in the countryside escalates into incineration of cities by swarms of pyromaniac magpies. An avian leader with psychic power demands a brutal reduction in the human population. Homo sapiens descends into a subservient role but manages to land some counterpunches. The birds’ quest for equality is derailed by conflict between carnivorous species and those that eat insects.

What jump-started the wild leap in ornithological evolution? What will be the fate of humans?
