Week 2 Prediction Updates and Week 3 NFL Picks!

https://www.thenerdelement.com/2021/09/26/week-2-prediction-updates-and-week-3-nfl-picks/

Hi everyone! Today I want to give you guys the prediction updates I made last week for week 2. I got some of my predictions correct and some of them wrong. I predicted that the Broncos would beat the Jaguars 34-17, but the final score was 23-13 Broncos over the Jaguars. I predicted that the Rams would beat the Colts 29-17, but the final score was 27-24 in a close game. I predicted that the Cardinals would beat the Vikings 31-17, but the final score was 34-33 Cardinals over the Vikings in a wild one. The Vikings offense ran the ball all over the Cardinal defense in the first half. I knew that Dalvin Cook is going to be a hard guy to bring down and he is a swift guy. But in the second half, the Cardinal defense did a better job stopping the run. The defensive ends Chandler Jones, JJ Watt, and Markus Golden did not get to the quarterback, but they still managed to win the game. Kyler Murray threw 3 touchdowns, a touchdown run, and threw 2 interceptions and that was enough to win the game. The Vikings were doing everything right by moving the ball down the field and getting into Cardinals territory, but when the kicker came in for the Vikings, he missed the field goal by pushing it to the left of the goal post. So yeah, the Cardinals lucked out!

I predicted that the Packers would beat the Lions 36-20, but the final score was 35-17 Packers over the Lions. I was so close on that prediction! I knew that the Packers were going to win this game because I knew that Aaron Rodgers really needed to win this game badly and he got that! I predicted that the Eagles would beat the 49ers 27-21, but the final score was 17-11 49ers over the Eagles. I predicted that the Seahawks would beat the Titans 34-23, but the final score was 33-30 Titans over the Seahawks in a close game. The Seahawks blew a 30-16 lead in the 4th quarter as Derrick Henry was able to get back on track to help the Titans get an overtime win with a field goal attempt. It felt like Seattle should have won the game, but it did not happen. I predicted that the Chiefs would beat the Ravens 33-27, but the final score was 36-35 in a very close game. The reason why the Chiefs lost this game is because they fumbled the ball and the Ravens were able to take advantage of the turnover. Had the Chiefs not fumbled the ball, then the Chiefs would have won the game most likely because everyone always see the Chiefs offense go down the field and score points very quickly. I predicted that the Chargers would beat the Cowboys 23-17, but the final score was 20-17 Cowboys over the Chargers. My prediction there was so close!

So, based off my prediction, I have gotten 4 out of 8 picks correct! Now let’s get to NFL week 3 picks, shall we?! The first game I will predict is the Cardinals @Jaguars game. The Cardinals are coming off with the historic win over the Vikings. The Cardinals defense allowed about 150 yards of rushing against the Vikings. They cannot let that happen to them again. They must get off to a better start. They need to clean up the messes and mistakes they made last week. They need to run the ball and not mess around. Kyler Murray needs to stop forcing the ball down the field because when he does, he throws interceptions. Just pound at the Jaguars team similar to what they did against the Titans. The Jags quarterback Trevor Lawrence may have had a better game vs the Broncos during the loss to them than he did against the Texans despite that loss as well. Their defense in the secondary is not good and the defensive line might be pretty good. But the question is will the run defense of the Jags able to stop the dangerous Cardinal offense. I do think that the Cardinals will sneak out a win over the Jaguars 38-17.

The next game I will predict is the Jets @Broncos game. I expect the Broncos to pretty much beat the Jets pretty good there 38-10. The next game I will predict is the Buccaneers @Rams game. This is going to be a really great game to watch in the NFC. Both of these teams are 2-0 on the season, but which team will lose their first game of the season. Because somebody has to. Is it the Rams or the Bucs? I think I might give the victory to the Bucs barely because I think the Bucs defense and the offense are just pretty healthy and I think that they will play well enough to win. The Rams of course can prove me wrong because they can score a lot of points, but probably not a lot because of the Bucs defense that are just pretty good. So, I think the score might be 24-21 Bucs over the Rams. The next game I will predict is the Seahawks @Vikings game. Both of these teams should have won their games last week, but they did not. I think Seattle might pull it off barely over the Vikings 17-13 because usually Seattle always find a way to bounce back after they lose a game, but you never know. The next game I will predict is the Packers @49ers game on Sunday Night Football. I think this will be a great game. Both of these teams are coming off with the w=win last week. I think the 49ers may pull this one off over the Packers in a shootout 38-35. I probably should not be underestimating the 49ers because they are still a pretty good team. The last game I will predict is the Eagles @Cowboys game the divisional rivalries on Monday Night Football. I think that this one is going to be an extremely good game because it is a foot race to win the NFC East. I think that the Cowboys might be able to pull this one off over the Eagles in a close game 33-30.

So, what do you guys think about the NFL week 3 picks?! I would love to hear lots of comments, opinions, thoughts, questions, or concerns down below!
