Two Texas women thought it was a good idea to retaliate on behalf of a family member and severely beat up a 12-year-old girl. According to KWTX, Kyhirah Clemons, 32, and Chonda Edmond, 44, severely beat up a 12-year-old over a dispute she had with their relative at Kileen Middle School. Clemons and Edmond allegedly beat the girl with what looked like baseball bats. They were arrested last week and are being held on $100,000 bond and have been charged with causing injury to a child.
When police arrived at the scene of the incident, which occurred on June 12th, 2019, the victim was found on the ground.
Edmond is the classmate’s mother while Clemons identified herself as the girl’s aunt. The 12-year-girl told police that after school she had a physical altercation with Edmond and Clemons while an unidentified man and Edmond’s daughter were there. According to a court affidavit, the 12-year-old said “that both adult females had objects that looked like baseball bats and began to strike her with the objects.” She said she had an argument with Edmond’s daughter earlier that day.
Edmond told police that Clemons isn’t the girl’s aunt but “is a close friend that she refers to as a sister and is her only family member that lives locally.”
The girl later identified Clemons and Edmond in a photo lineup. There is also a video showing the altercation between Edmond and the child in front of the middle school.
