A viral TikTok from a Philadelphia Lyft driver claims residents are resorting to rideshares to drop off trash at dump sites as the city’s municipal worker strike leaves garbage collection suspended.
AFSCME District Council 33, which represents approximately 9,000 of Philadelphia’s municipal workers, went on strike on Tuesday, July 1st. The strike has impacted trash pickup and many other city services, interrupting the lives of many of the city’s residents.
