Did today’s release of the Avengers: Endgame posters not make you sad enough? Great news! The team is back with a new featurette discussing the fallout of the Snapture. In the video, Robert Downey Jr., Chris Evans, Scarlett Johansson, Kevin Feige, and Chris Hemsworth discuss the emotional trauma the team feels from losing to Thanos.

I mean, no wonder it’s tough. The Avengers never lose, and with this particular battle, they not only lose the fight. They lose 50% of life across the universe, including friends and family. So we can expect to see Endgame start on the same emotional downbeat of the HBO series The Leftovers. While it’s a bleak beginning, there’s nowhere to go but up, as the team seeks reverse the snap and bring the world back to life.

Feige says, “the fans’ reaction to Infinity War , when half their favorite characters turned to dust, really was indicative of how emotionally connected the world has gotten to these characters.” Uh, thanks Kevin. WE KNOW. Evans, in tru Cap style, offered up some positive thoughts, saying “The good thing is, it’s always easier to build people back up after they’ve been broken down, and that’s what Marvel’s great at doing. It’s that shred of hope everyone’s looking for.”

Well, we’ll know soon enough how happy or sad the final chapter of Avengers will leave us. Five more weeks to go!
