Superman’s Sticking Around in New Supergirl Teaser – "I'm with her."

Supergirl‘s back! I’m so happy that I’m finally able to type out those words.

In case you missed it, the season two premiere aired this past Monday (my fellow TMS-er Teresa is back with her awesomely in-depth recaps) and marked the very first full appearance of the Man of Steel as Superman showed up in National City to hang out with his cousin and occasionally lend a hand where needed.

Putting the icing on top of an already delicious cake was the news that the season two premiere ep was the most-watched show in its timeslot on Monday night on the CW, carrying over from its original spot on CBS, with a total of 3 million viewers. (Just to give you an idea, the previous record-holder for the network’s timeslot had been Gossip Girl.)

Towards the tail end of last Monday’s episode, Superman had indicated that he’d be sticking around for a while–and we already know that’ll be one more episode at least. Could the door be open for him to return at any point in the future? I’m not ruling it out. In the meantime, the CW has released a small teaser of this Monday’s ep, and it looks like the Supercousins are settling into the groove of teamwork (even if Martian Manhunter seems to consider it something closer to showboating). Kara might be having a good day stopping crime with her cousin, but we know there’s a formidable enemy lurking out there, waiting to make his move.

What are you all looking forward to from episode two? What are your thoughts on Tyler Hoechlin’s Superman so far? I had mixed feelings initially, but to be honest he’s starting to grow on me. Discuss away in the comments!
