So, it appears that the Disneyland Resort is pushing the hotel reservations to August 16 and beyond. Guests who currently hold reservations before August 15 can either move their reservation to a future date or cancel outright. Disney will contact those who don’t modify them on their own, and give them the opportunity to rebook their travel. At press time, reservations were available for the Paradise Pier Hotel and Disney’s Grand Californian Hotel starting August 16. Oh boy! Prices start at $352 per night at the Paradise Pier Hotel and $613 at Disney’s Grand Californian Hotel. Those prices are crazy! Anyway, Disney earlier indicated that the Disneyland hotel would reopen after the other two hotels, and is not currently booking reservations prior to October 1, 2020 for that property. This information came from the Mouse Planet.
In other news… Disneyland has announced that the Oogie Bogie Bash at Disneyland Park has been cancelled due to the covid-19 pandemic. I feel bad for Disney Halloween fans because they were really looking forward to going to the party. But I think It’s the right decision to cancel it. Preparing for Oogie Boogie Bash, which typically begins in mid-September, takes a substantial amount of planning and coordination. The after-hours Halloween event — which runs on select nights in September and October — is one of the few times of the year when older kids and adults can wear costumes in the theme park. This information came from the Orange Country website.
Over at Disney World, the cast members have started to put up signs to remind people to wear face coverings at all times except for eating or drinking and you are not allowed to drink and walk at the same time.
Stay tuned for Disney updates.
