Howdy, folks!   We’re still inhaling the “new carpet” smell that is wafting through the virtual offices of our new Afronerd Radio platform, courtesy of BTalk 100.  Join us this Wednesday at 8pm eastern for our Mid Week in Review broadcast when we discuss the following topics:  due to our tech issues, we will revisit some of the topics discussed during Sunday’s Grindhouse show;  we failed to discuss Sirius XM finally allowing for a Prince channel (temporarily?); Dburt gives his impression of the channel’s effort to preserve Mr. Nelson’s vast musical legacy; more COVID-19 chronicles, of course-including a testy and perhaps racial exchange between POTUS and a reporter of Asian descent; new developments in the Ahmaud Arbery murder case; Twitter announced that more workers maybe  working from home indefinitely; and speaking of working from home, a new study posits that remote employees are actually just as productive (or beyond) when given the option to work remotely; revisiting the #newblack Twitter hashtag after discovering a ’17 Daily Beast article that not only defines the term but also provides critical analyses; Jordan Peele’s Twilight Zone redux S2 trailer just hit the cyberwebs slated for a June release on CBS All Access; the CW recently bought the rights to the canceled DC Universe Swamp Thing series;  noted director, Tim Story (first Fantastic Four franchise, Ride Along) is returning to the superhero genre with comedian, Kevin Hart in a forthcoming project called Night Wolf;  thoughts about basketball icon, Michael Jordan’s Netflix documentary, The Last Dance;  and then there’s another doc from another famed Chicagoan, former First Lady, Michelle Obama entitled Becoming; Marvel’s Black Widow has been moved to November ’20 (assuming theaters are allowed to reopen) and Dburt checked out S2 of Netflix’ The Hollow;  thoughts about a rumored  Spider-Man 2099 live action project at Disney +; Lastly, thoughts about the recent release of a movie trailer for the “Queen of Hip Hop Soul,” Mary J Blige ‘s forthcoming supernatural thriller, Body Cam. Call LIVE at 508-645-0100.
