Lori Harvey got out of a carjacking by simply just walking away. When carjackers tried to steal her whip, she tried to fight them off but then remembered a fun fact about her car.

According to TMZ, after she parked her 2020 Rolls-Royce Cullinan in the parking garage of an Atlanta complex, a man ran toward her car in an attempt to jump into the driver’s seat while she was getting a few things out of the trunk. The suspect pushed her away and before she decided to keep fighting back she realized that she didn’t have to. The 23-year-old remembered that all she had to do was walk away from the SUV with the key fob because the car will no longer drive if it is too far from it. So instead of getting hurt,  she calmly walked away.

A second suspect also pulled up and took a duffel bag out of the back seat. Harvey later confirmed that the duffel bag only had a few clothes in it so nothing of great value was taken. Since she was coming from Whole Foods Market, police hope that surveillance footage will help them catch the two suspects.

This is the second car-related incident Harvey’s been involved in in the past year. She was recently charged with two misdemeanors including one count of resisting, delaying, obstructing a peace officer and one count of hit and run resulting in property damage. She is accused of hitting a parked car and then trying to flee the scene after her Mercedes-Benz G Wagon flipped over

. She was later caught by police when she walking down the street not too far from the accident.

If convicted, she could be sentenced up to a year in prison. Harvey has not yet commented on this incident.

On February 2, which is tomorrow, the Chiefs and 49ers will play in the Super Bowl 54 in Miami. So in this year’s Super Bowl, I will say that the Chiefs will win the Super Bowl because they have really good players such as Tyreek Hill, Mecole Hardman, Travis Kelce, Frank Clark, and Chris Jones that can play a really good role and better routines. The 49ers defense are really good, but I think the Chiefs receivers are going to keep them off balance and stop the run even though no one has not been able to stop their running game. I predict that the Chiefs will win in a shootout 35-31 over the 49ers. Also, the Chiefs have not won the Super Bowl in 50 years which was in 1970.

A Pennsylvania judge has been accused of referring to a black juror as Aunt Jemima in a closed-door meeting, according to KDKA CBS Pittsburgh.

It’s been reported that career prosecutor and current Allegheny County Common Pleas Judge Mark Tranquilli was re-assigned after the allegation against him was made two weeks ago. Assistant District Attorney Ted Dutkowski claimed that in a closed-door meeting between him, a defense attorney, and the judge, Tranquilli is quoted as calling a black woman juror “Aunt Jemima” and muses about her having a drug-dealing “baby daddy” at home. In his written statement, Dutkowski stated he was so sickened by the comments made by Tranquilli that he left the judge’s chambers and wrote a complaint detailing what was said.

The conversation took place at the conclusion of a drug case in which Dutkowski said Tranquilli admitted that he “was not happy” that the jury rendered a ‘not guilty’ verdict. In the judge’s chambers, Tranquilli questioned the assistant DA about why he had not moved to strike or block a black woman juror during the jury selection weeks prior. “You weren’t out of strikes when you decided to put Aunt Jemima on the jury,” is what Tranquilli allegedly said.

In the document, it is alleged that Tranquilli mocked the woman, who had her hair in a headdress, and said, “As soon as she sat down, she crossed her arms and looked like this.” Dutokwski claims the judge then crossed his arms and scowled, and continued: “You know darn well that when she goes home to her baby daddy, he’s probably slinging heroin too.”

According to the complaint, Dutkowski then spoke with Defense Attorney Joe Otte, who was also bothered by the comments and told Dutkowski he was considering some action on his part and said he would be careful about bringing African American defendants before Tranquilli.

Tranquilli is a graduate of Baldwin High School and Allegheny College and received his law degree from the University of Pittsburgh. He was elected to the Common Pleas bench in 2013.
