Attention, Wynonna Earp fans. We’ve got some good news, and some bad news for you. The good news first: The wait will soon be over, as we’ve learned (via Entertainment Weekly) that the cult Syfy series will return for its fourth season on July 26th. Now for the bad news. Because of the COVID-19 outbreak, filming on the most recent season had to come to a halt prematurely. Sadly, there are only six episodes in the season due to this. When possible, production will resume in Canada; Syfy will premiere the rest of the season at a later date.

In the meantime however, Syfy has released a new trailer for the upcoming season. One which acknowledges the lengths the passionate fanbase has gone to make sure the series came back. You you can watch the full trailer down below:

The delay is a bit of a blow for Wynonna Earp fandom, as they’ve already had to wait forever since the end of season three. The last new episode for the series aired way back in September of 2018. After that, the show’s future was in doubt. Several different financial obstacles arose between the show’s production company and the owner of the property, IDW Entertainment. But now those hurdles are behind them, and it’s game on once again for Wynonna and company.

This newest season will find Wynonna going up against her most formidable adversary so far in the series, due to the Earp family curse finally broken. And she is facing these challenges without her infamous gun, Peacemaker. According to the cast, this new season will be something of a love story, although how exactly that will play out, and between whom, is still a mystery. And although San Diego Comic-Con is canceled, the cast will still headline a virtual panel right before the season premiere, as part of Comic-Con@Home.

Wynonna Earp returns on July 26 at 10 p.m. ET on Syfy.

The White House released a video statement Friday praising Donald Trump for signing an executive order designed “to transform the federal hiring process.” The order, they say, would “replace one-size-fits-all, degree-based hiring with skills-based hiring.”

And the person the administration chose to be the spokesperson for “skills-based hiring” was … Ivanka Trump.

They’re trolling us, right? They have to know how ridiculous it is to have one of the least qualified and yet most powerful people in the country to talk about how great it is to hire based on skills and merit.

Thanks to the White House’s video, “Nepotism Barbie” is trending and while visually accurate, it’s a term I’m not crazy about because the “Barbie” moniker comes with an implication that her appearance invalidates her opinions. And let’s be clear, Ivanka Trump isn’t useless because of the way she looks. She’s useless because she’s an unqualified, nepotistic leech who used her feminist-lite persona to soften her father’s image while doing absolutely nothing for women or anyone else except herself and her immediate family.

Waiting for the return of Wynonna Earp has felt like being in, well, purgatory for fans of SyFy’s hard-living, demon-fighting badass, but at long last, the wait for the fourth season is over. Well, almost. Along with releasing the above kickass trailer, SyFy has announced that season four will debut on July 26th, 2020 at 10:00 PM, just a month from now—and we could not be happier.

In case you forgot, season three ended in 2018 with some huge cliffhangers: Waverly and Doc were stuck in the Garden and Wynonna was Pacemaker-less and left behind. Those big questions were supposed to be answered in 2019, but a funding issue with IDW Entertainment, which produces the show, caused production to be stalled by a full year.

Production resumed early this year … just in time for COVID-19 to put the breaks on things again. But thankfully, SyFy didn’t want to make fans wait any longer, so the first six episodes of season four will begin airing Sunday, July 26th and run until the midseason finale on August 30th.

I love this trailer, by the way. Love that Waverly is back in action. Love Wynonna being her messy self. But most of all I love Nedley saying “Nobody fucks with our family.” If you’ll remember, it was showrunner Emily Andras tweeting something very similar that set off the firestorm of support and lobbying that saved Wynonna Earp from an early grave. It’s a testament to the power of this fandom, and it’s awesome.
