Disney unveiled during Disney Investor Day that actor Gabrielle Union is slated to star in the classic reimagining of Cheaper By The Dozen.

The family comedy will be produced by Kenya Barris (Black-ish) and is scheduled for release on Disney+ in 2022.

The story centers on a blended family of 12, navigating a hectic home life and their family business.

This will mark the third time the film has been remade, making its debut in 1950 and then again in 2003.

Union currently has a couple of deals under the company I’ll Have Another with the optioned TV deal for the indie bestseller “All Boys Aren’t Blue” and Union landed a deal at Netflix with Jezebel filmmaker Numa Perrier with the film The Perfect Find.

From Lovecraft Country to the Marvel Cinematic Universe, Jonathan Majors is having a hot streak in genre TV and film.

During the Thursday Disney Investor Day, it was announced that Ant-Man 3 has now been retitled as Ant-Man and the Wasp Quantumania. Actor Jonathan Majors will play the main villain Kang The Conqueror.

There hasn’t been much detail unveiled about the film or its story. As for the character in comic book canon, he is most frequently depicted as an opponent of the Avengers and the Fantastic Four. A time-traveling entity, several alternate versions of Kang have appeared throughout Marvel’s titles over the years, including his respective future and past heroic selves, Immortus and Iron Lad.

In August of this year, Majors appeared in the hit HBO series Lovecraft Country. Lovecraft Country follows Atticus Freeman (Jonathan Majors) as he joins up with his childhood friend Leti Lewis (Jurnee Smollett) and his Uncle George (Courtney B. Vance) to embark on a road trip from Chicago across 1950s Jim Crow America in search of his missing father, Montrose Freeman (Michael K. Williams).

The complete first season will be available on DVD and Blu-Ray Feb 2021.

One day I’m not gonna like one of these Dark Night‘s tie-ins. But today is not that day. Tales from the Dark Multiverse: Flashpoint bangs. 

It’s the most recent of these Dark Multiverse books that basically boil down to being DC’s version of What If?

This Flashpoint issue explores what would have happened if Barry succeeded in getting struck twice by lighting, but it killed him rather than giving him his Flash powers. And in the wake of his death, The Reverse Flash comes in and takes his place, navigating the Flashpoint world that we’ve come to know with unlimited power. 

That’s basically what this issue winds up being: a playground for Eobard Thawne to play in and manipulate as he sees fit. 

I won’t say that I rooted for Reverse Flash per se, or that it’s even possible to root for him, but the way Hitch writes him in this issue, I found myself often nodding in agreement with whatever he was doing. Even if it happened to be using his super-speed to atomize Cyborg out of existence. 

Thawne winds up completely taking over the world because this is a world without the Flash, so they never saw him coming (joke intended). He recreates it in his own image until he meets the scrawny Superman who gives him a run for his money. 

If Thawne is the protagonist of this story, meaning that his wants and desires drive the story forward, then Thomas Wayne Batman is the villain. Because he’s hellbent on recreating the world that Barry wanted to recreate. The one where Bruce survived that fateful night in crime alley and Thomas died. 

Bryan Hitch did the damn thing on this book. My guy simultaneously impressed me and made me jealous that he was so effective narratively and visually. I may or may not be rethinking my life choices right now. 

Tales from the Dark Multiverse: Flashpoint is yet again a fire tie-in to the Dark Night‘s storyline. Do you need to read it? No. Will your life be better if you do? Hell yes.

So last week, I got some of the picks right and some of them wrong. For instance, I predicted that the Bills would beat the Chargers 26-17, but the actual score was 27-17 Bills over the Chargers. I predicted that the Chiefs would beat the Bucs in a shootout 35-30, but the actual score was 27-24 Chiefs over the Buccaneers. I predicted that the Dolphins would beat the Jets 41-26, but the actual score was 20-3 Dolphins over the Jets. I predicted that the Saints would beat the Broncos 31-13, but the actual score was 31-3 Saints over the Broncos. The Broncos’ quarterback situation did not go well on a blowout loss to the Saints. My prediction there was pretty close!! I predicted that the Packers would beat the Bears on Sunday Night Football 27-17, but the actual score was 41-25 Packers over the Bears. I predicted that the Seahawks would beat the Eagles 17-9, but the actual score was 23-17 Seahawks over the Eagles. I predicted that the Cardinals would beat the Patriots 33-20, but the actual score was 20-17 Patriots over the Cardinals. I predicted that the Rams would beat the 49ers 24-17, but the actual score was 23-20 49ers over the Rams and they have swept the Rams once again. I predicted that the Raiders would beat the Falcons 34-20, but the actual score was not even close. The Falcons blew out the Raiders 43-6. I predicted that the Ravens would beat the Steelers 38-24, but the actual score was 19-14 Steelers over the Ravens in a low scoring game. I predicted that the Colts would beat the Titans 38-31, but the actual score was 45-26 Titans over the Colts. I got 6 out of 11 picks correct!

Now let’s move on to week 13 picks, shall we?! The first game I will predict is the Jags @Vikings game. I think the Vikings will beat the Jaguars 31-17 because they seemed to be in a playoff race with other teams and they are starting to play much better. The next game I will predict is the Browns @Titans game. I think the Titans will beat the Browns 38-27. The next game I will predict is the Colts @Texans game. I think the Colts can beat the Texans 44-21 because I think that the Colts are going to bounce back from a brutal loss to the Titans and they need to win to keep their playoff hopes alive. The next game I will predict is the Lions @Bears game. I think the Lions will beat the Bears 26-19 because the Bears offense is continuing to struggle and they will struggle even more. The next game I will predict is the Saints @Falcons game. I think the Saints will beat the Falcons 32-25 in a shootout. The next game I will predict is the Rams @Cardinals game, a big divisional rivalry game. The Cardinals and Rams are coming off with losses last week. The Cardinals desperately need a win tomorrow against the Rams meaning they are in win now mode which I think the Cardinals will beat the Rams 27-17 to keep their playoff hopes alive. The next game I will predict is the Giants @Seahawks game. I think the Seahawks will beat the Giants 34-17. The next game I will predict is the Eagles @Packers game. I think the Packers will beat the Eagles 30-19 even though the Eagles won against the Packers last season in Green Bay 34-27, but not this time though. The next game I will predict is the Broncos @Chiefs game. I think the Chiefs win this game easily over the Broncos 35-10 on Sunday Night Football. The next game I will predict is the Washington Football team @Steelers game on Monday night football. I think the Steelers win this game 45-17 over the Football team. The next game I will predict is the Bills @49ers game also on Monday night football. I think the Bills will beat the 49ers 27-10. The last game I will predict is the Cowboys @Ravens game on Tuesday night football game! I think the Ravens will beat the Cowboys 38-25 in a much-needed win over the Cowboys.
