Hi everyone! I have some significant updates about both Disneyland Resort and Walt Disney World Resort. At Disney World, they are making the license plate to be made available for Florida drivers as part of the Disney World’s 50^th anniversary. Disney said the design of the plate will be released at a later date.

I found out the 5 things about JW Marriott Bonnet Creek- the newest hotel near Disney World:

1. It’s swanky
2. Use Marriott elite perks
3. Kids area and Mini Golf
4. Pools and Cabanas
5. Covid notes

A new Disney Resort Discount has been released for early 2021. Guests can stay at select WDW resorts while saving up to 35% for most nights January 3^rd through April 17^th, 2021. Resort stays utilizing this discount can be booked through March 15, 2021.

If you are considering going to Walt Disney World Resort right now, I found out 5 things you need to know before going:

1. Disney World is much busier- but still has capped capacity
2. Wait times are often (very) wrong
3. Lines look scary but move quickly
4. The best times to ride
5. You need a plan to eat

I also found out the 5 attractions that can be spooky if all alone at Walt Disney World:

1. Spaceship Earth: Epcot
2. Dinosaur: Animal Kingdom

4. Haunted Mansion: Just like at Disneyland Resort
5. Tower of Terror

Some Disney World fans don’t want the Splash Mountain retheme to be Princess and the Frog because they want Disney to retheme it to the Black Panther ride to honor Chadwick Boseman.

Over at Disneyland Resort, California announces that Disneyland can reopen in the yellow tier at 25% capacity. However, Disneyland can also reopen if the Orange County moves down two tiers. They can move down again no sooner than three weeks later. That means the very best-case scenario for a Disneyland reopening could like this:

1. Tuesday, October 27: OC posts numbers to meet the orange tier requirements
2. Tuesday, November 10: OC moves to orange tier, begins to post numbers to meet yellow tier requirements.
3. Tuesday, December 1: OC can move to yellow tier.

This all can happen if the case numbers could really start to go down quickly. Disneyland is considering Coronavirus-Related Lawsuit to Force California’s Theme Parks Open. The reason that Disneyland is considering doing that is because they are losing money. Plus, they don’t want to fire all of those people. Dr. Ghaly did say that smaller parks could reopen more quickly in other parts of the state, mostly because they attract fewer and mostly local customers, thus dampening the threat of a widespread outbreak of the coronavirus.

Disneyland’s California Adventure Park is going to start reopening the Buena Vista Street for shopping and dining starting in November. However, the rides will still not be open due to the covid-19 restriction safeties which why I understand that they are not going to open up the rides. All of this Disney information came from the Disney news I look at.

Kim Ng has officially stepped up to the plate as the new general manager for the Miami Marlins, making her not only the first woman general manager for a Major League Baseball Team, but the first Asian American as well. 

“On behalf of principal owner Bruce Sherman and our entire ownership group, we look forward to Kim bringing a wealth of knowledge and championship-level experience to the Miami Marlins,” Marlins CEO Derek Jeter stated. “Her leadership of our baseball operations team will play a major role on our path toward sustained success. Additionally, her extensive work in expanding youth baseball and softball initiatives will enhance our efforts to grow the game among our local youth as we continue to make a positive impact on the South Florida community.”

But this isn’t the first time Ng has made history, at age 29 she became the youngest assistant general manager in MLB. 

Though Kim Ng may not be a name many people are familiar with, she has plenty of experience with baseball. The newly instituted GM has more than 30 years of experience in the major leagues, beginning as an intern with the Chicago White Sox in 1990. Her time in the profession pre-dates the existence of the Marlins, who were founded in 1991. She’s worked for the New York Yankees (1998-2001), Los Angeles Dodgers (2002-2011) and in the MLB commissioner’s office (2011-2020) AOL reports. 

“I entered Major League Baseball as an intern and, after decades of determination, it is the honor of my career to lead the Miami Marlins as their next general manager,” Ng said.

“We are building for the long term in South Florida, developing a forward-thinking, collaborative, creative baseball operation made up of incredibly talented and dedicated staff who have, over the last few years, laid out a great foundation for success. This challenge is one I didn’t take lightly” she continued “When I got into this business, it seemed unlikely a woman would lead a major league team, but I am dogged in the pursuit of my goals. My goal is now to bring championship baseball to Miami. I am both humbled and eager to continue building the winning culture our fans expect and deserve.”

The family of Quawan “Bobby” Charles are marching for justice in his name after the15-year-old’s body was discovered body on Nov. 3 in a sugar cane field near the village of Loreauville, Louisiana about 20 miles from his father’s home, NBC News reports.

Quawan  was taken without permission from his home in Baldwin on October 30.

Authorities are investigating the death as a homicide. Adding more mystery to the investigation, the Iberia Parish Sheriff’s Office has not yet stated what discoveries led them to name the investigation as a homicide.

The news comes as Quawan’s family marched with local activists on Saturday demanding transparency in the teen’s death which has led to series of unanswered questions. The family marched with demonstrators, gathering in front of the Baldwin Police Department, then marching to City Hall. Activists are calling for the Baldwin police chief, mayor and Iberia Parish sheriff and coroner to step down.

According to USA Today, Quawan’s mother reported his disappearance, but was told by local authorities that her son was probably at a local high school football game. His disappearance was reported to the local police, who then notified the Iberia Parish’s Office, according to a statement from authorities.

Lawyers for the family also question why an Amber Alert wasn’t issued for the minor after he was discovered in a shallow pool of water, leading to his likely death by drowning, which was listed as a possible cause of death in his autopsy report. An independent autopsy commissioned by the family corroborated the initial autopsy report, according to TMZ.

Family members question the nature of injuries on his body after a photo of his corpse circulated on social media over the weekend. They also inquire how he could have drowned in inches of water.

A $5,000 reward is being offered to anyone with information about his death.

Porsha Williams revealed that she is home from the hospital on social media. But fans are wondering, why was she there in the first place?

“Thank you everyone for your well wishes. It’s good to finally be home from the hospital,” she captioned a photo of her hugging a teddy bear while sitting next to a few flower arrangements gifted by Bravo and others. “Thank you! I’ll see you all next week God willing. Biggest message I got from this week is to prioritize your health! You can’t just go and go. If you don’t God will sit you right in down and make you figure it out. Road to recovery…”

Her Real Housewives of Atlanta castmate Cynthia Bailey commented under the picture sharing her relief that Williams is home from the hospital.

“Amen! Can’t take our health for granted. Glad you are feeling better!,” she commented.

Amidst all the prayer emojis and get well wishes, fans questioned what happened to Williams. While many of her followers stated  that she must have had COVID-19, one follower said Williams passed out due to being under stress.  An Instagram user named Nature_of_Shannon said “she wasn’t eating out of stress and passed out.” This hasn’t been confirmed by Williams. Those who are assuming she had COVID-19 think Williams may be the person who contracted the virus and caused production of Real Housewives of Atlanta to abruptly end. According to Variety, production has been halted for two weeks.

“As part of ‘RHOA’s’ regular testing protocol, it was confirmed an individual on the ‘RHOA’ production tested positive for COVID-19,” they reported. “The set follows rigorous COVID-19 safety protocols including contract tracing. Out of an abundance of caution, production is shutting down for two weeks.”

The 13th season of the show was being filmed.

Whatever her diagnosis was, we are wishing Williams a speedy recovery.
