Even if you’ve never seen the 1973 horror classic The Exorcist, you probably know that it involves green projectile vomit. For fans of the movie who have a strong stomach, there’s now a bottle pourer in the shape of poor Regan’s slashed-up face with mouth wide open to expel demons (aka your favorite wine or liquor). We saw the delightfully gross gift thanks to Technabob. Etsy artist Crimsonhandsfx hand-crafts each pewter pourer, which sell for $45. Hurry, there’s still time to order one before hosting a Halloween party!
Here’s a clip of the famous scene in The Exorcist, if you want to relive it. And a video where Linda Blair’s stand-in describes the on-set rig involved. Apparently the puke was pea soup, which probably wouldn’t work with the bottle pourer. Perhaps adding green food coloring to a Halloween punch or white wine would sufficiently gross out your guests? The Star Wars-esque green milk in the Etsy photo is certainly a choice and gets the full effect across.
There’s other horror-themed bottle pourers in the Crimsonhandsfx Etsy shop, including Pennywise and both Frankenstein and Bride of Frankenstein. There’s other spooky items for sale, including vampire fangs, zombie masks, and 3D stickers that look like bloody wounds to really up your Halloween costume game.
In case you haven’t heard, a new Exorcist movie is coming to Peacock in October 2023. But if you can’t wait that long, or just don’t want to mess with the original, this is the perfect addition to your bar cart. And there’s the added bonus that if your guests get grossed out, you don’t have to share your beverages with them.
