We’re pretty sure Ant-Man is going to be the key to defeating Thanos in Avengers: Endgame. He’s got that sweet Quantum Realm knowhow and can travel through time vortexes, so that’s got to do something. Oh, and he’s also got the ability to climb of Thanos’ butt and then grow to giant size, thus exploding the purple people snapper into a billion pieces. So there’s that too.
As ridiculous as that sounds, Ant-Man up Thanos’ hindquarters is a very persistent theory people have talked about on Reddit for years. And, we suppose, that might be one way to end the conflict, at least from the “stopping-Thanos” perspective. We’re pretty positive this won’t happen as the conclusion to a ten-year, 22-film saga that has kept the entire world rapt…but then again.
Disney tweeted on Friday a series of character posters (yes, a different set) meant to get folks excited for a fan event at Shanghai Disneyland. They feature Iron Man, Thor, Captain America, Hawkeye…and Ant-Man. And also their butts!

The heroes face the rising sun on a rooftop. While this may just be a cool image (unless, you know, you want to see any of the female heroes represented), it may also give us a hint about the end of Endgame.
It’s telling us, focus on their butts. Their butts are important. Butts are important. Ant-Man…and butts. They’re important.
Not only that, but Daniel Patterson on Twitter has given us a pretty great visual representation of how it all might shake out:

The evidence is all right there. Now we’re not sure what’ll happen. It might be a team effort involving many heroes using their individual powers to perfection. Or it could just be Ant-Man going up a Mad Titan’s butt and exploding him via instant-embiggening. You decide. And then ALSO stop. Ant-Man should get 500 medals for this. I mean, Thanos can’t be getting enough fiber.
Avengers: Endgame premieres April 26 and Odin help us all if there’s butt stuff.
