Things We Saw Today: The Infinity War Trailer Re-Cut With ’90s Animation

https://www.themarysue.com/things-we-saw-today-infinity-war-trailer-90s-animation/

YouTuber Darth Blender has remade the Infinity War trailer with shots from the ’90s animated Marvel shows, including X-Men: The Animated Series, The Incredible Hulk, and Spider-Man: The Animated Series. (via Nerdist)

  • TechCrunch has an interview with the international hero who oh-so-briefly deleted Trump’s Twitter account. While he says it was a “mistake,” and “I didn’t do anything that I was not authorized to do,” we all still bless him for those 11 minutes of peace.
  • Asked about starring in a Woody Allen movie, Selena Gomez gave a not-great answer: “I didn’t know Woody and I don’t know anything about that family. As the actor in the film, you just have to step away and say, I don’t know anything, really, and whether any of it is true or false. Having thought it all through, you put it to one side and just work with the person.” This is a terrible answer, but I’m still always wondering why the men in Allen’s movies don’t get these questions nearly as often. • Coco continues to dominate at the box office. (via Collider)
  • A new exhibit at the Rosenbach rare book library in Philadelphia looks at the ways that an 1815 environmental disaster may have inspired iconic Gothic novels like Dracula and Frankenstein. (via Earther)
  • YouTuber CaptainJZH has imagined an epic crossover between Star Trek and Star Wars in which the Death Star comes for the Federation. (via io9)

Raven Spills the Tea and Qrow Goes on A Quest on ‘RWBY’

https://blackgirlnerds.com/rwby-5x06/

Raven and Yang have a nice mother and daughter chat about the past and the truth. Qrow follows Ozpin’s orders to gather huntsmen to fight at Haven. RAVEN SPILLS THE TEA As Raven serve Yang and Weiss tea, she spills the tea about Ozpin and her brother, Qrow. Apparently, not all people become a huntsman [...]

Things We Saw Today: The Last Jedi Actors’ Awesome Training Montage

https://www.themarysue.com/things-we-saw-today-the-last-jedi-actors-awesome-training-montage/

As part of the Mouse’s hype machine for Star Wars: The Last Jedi, Disney and Lucasfilm have released the above video of a bunch of the Last Jedi actors training for their fight scenes. While the video centers on Daisy Ridley, it also features Adam Driver, Kelly Marie Tran, John Boyega, and Gwendoline Christie. It totally made me want to pick up a mop and start fake lightsaber-ing around my room.

  • Audiences have not been pleased with Olaf’s Frozen Adventure, the 21-minute Frozen short that precedes Coco, and Disney is listening. Starting December 8, the short will be removed from all copies of Coco. (via /Film)
  • The Ringer posted an intriguing analysis of the continuity model, focusing primarily on the Marvel Cinematic Universe, and how it can be uniquely vulnerable to failures. When each film relies on those that came before it, past failures can doom present ventures, and it can be difficult to course-correct. (See: Justice League.)
  • I love this cosplay.

  • Doug Jones, who plays the fish monster in The Shape of Water, spoke to SYFY Wire about the process of filming, and what it was like to film a romantic bathtub scene as a fish monster.

What did you all see today?
